The Domain Precinct of Melbourne, Australia, is stylish, historic, urban, and affluent.

A sought-after region in South Yarra, an in-city suburb situated about 4 kilometers away from the business district’s central location. The area, which is tree-lined, is comprised of “a large variety of heritage style and terrace homes that bring a wonderful character,” says Robert Fletcher of Private Properties Global.

High ceilings add volume to the dining and living rooms.

The rows of traditional terrace houses are privately owned attached homes, becoming increasingly sought-after due to their position. The cottages can be “tightly held,” according to Fletcher.

“There is a very high demand for this style of home,” the architect says. “The market is highly undersupplied.”
