Since its establishment in 2003, Rismark has developed a deep quantitative research capability focusing on the residential real estate domain.
The team itself is currently staffed by 4-5 PhD level executives and complemented by Rismark’s Global Research Advisory Board comprising of professors from Sydney University, Yale University and Melbourne University.
Public outputs of this research have been some of the world’s most advanced hedonic and repeat-sales house price indices, best-in-breed automated valuation models (AVMs) and the development of an over-the-counter residential property derivatives market based on the RP Data-Rismark Hedonic Indices.
Rismark is also actively engaged in collaborative research with leading universities. Rismark has endowed the Rismark International PhD Scholarship in Real Estate Research at Sydney University. Rismark also sponsors two Honours Scholarships in Real Estate Research at Sydney University and NSW University.
More recently, Rismark has been awarded a prestigious Australian Research Council (ARC) Business Linkage Grant in conjunction with Sydney University to investigate market mechanisms in order to help achieve greater efficiency in the Australian residential real estate market.
